1000th Gold-Plated Smith-Watkins Trumpet Gifted to the Reid Museum of the University of Edinburgh

To celebrate reaching the remarkable milestone of 1000 handmade brass instruments, Smith-Watkins was delighted to present the University of Edinburgh with a specially designed gold-plated trumpet and a complete set of nine gold-plated lead-pipes.

The presentation at the Reid Concert Hall Museum recognised the University’s pioneering research into musical acoustics and will be held within the celebrated collection of Historic Musical Instruments.
