Beth Malovance

Beth Malovance serves as the Assistant Territorial Music & Creative Arts Secretary for The Salvation Army USA Central Territory, where she helps lead and develop music and creative arts ministries across the region. She is passionate about investing in young musicians and creating environments where students can grow both artistically and spiritually.

Beth holds a Master of Fine Arts in Trumpet Performance from the California Institute of the Arts, a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from the University of Louisville, and a K–12 Illinois Teaching Certificate from Trinity International University. She previously taught in public education, where she directed ensembles and helped build thriving music programmes.

An active performer, Beth serves as principal cornet of the Chicago Staff Band and plays flugelhorn with the award-winning Chicago Brass Band. She currently serves as Bandmaster at Norridge Citadel, where she leads the brass band ministry and continues her commitment to her local corps. She is a frequent soloist and clinician at music camps, workshops, and festivals, has won several solo awards, and has been featured at events such as the International Women’s Brass Conference.

Beth is a Smith-Watkins Artist and a Mercer & Barker Artist. Whether conducting, teaching, or performing, she loves encouraging musicians to pursue excellence while discovering joy, confidence, and purpose through music.
